I would like to open this report by thanking all volunteers and members of the board of trustees whose commitment to the EENGO is of the essence to its survival. Their commitment has given the organisation a stability in difficult times which has ensured its continued existence.
EENGO was formally established in 2000 and provides information, advice and support services on a voluntary basis. EENGO is a registered charity and community legal service working towards empowering Afghan community and all refugees from various backgrounds and nationalities. The overall focus of EENGO’s work is to increase access to main services that may improve the well-being of the community and facilitate their integration into British society.
EENGO International is conscious of the financial difficulties currently faced by individuals and the organisation but as founder of EENGO it gives me great pleasure to inform you that in spite of the difficulties we have faced, we have managed to run the organisation and complete our projects successfully throughout the year and thousands of people have benefited from our various projects.
Health workshop and Training workshops in area of Public Law, Immigration – Asylum Law, Employment Law, Housing Law, Capacity Building, Partnership working were held for community organisations.
Also we provided community with the following: Legal Services (one to one counselling services) , Sport activities, Conferences, Social inclusion and occasions.
I think going forward we need to work together for the sake of the community. EENGO is a fast growing organisation and deal with increasing number of beneficiaries. We welcome any professionals to join our committee to develop further our organisation in providing services for the community. I am proud to support community for helping, sharing and caring.
Management Structure & Management Committee:
The organisation is managed by a management committee, which is responsible for the overall management and administration of the organisation. The day-to-day management and service delivery are carried out by Co-ordinator. The current management structure consists of managing director chairperson, secretary, treasurer and other committee members.
Note: Throughout our work we have been contributing million hours and million of pounds for social and economic development in the country; in-fact we have not received any support from the UK government or funders in regard to the services we provide for many years (activities which are included in our website).
